A Minneapolis dance teacher is accused of raping his underage student at his apartment while the boy slept over.
Decorey Lamar Bozeman, 28, is charged in Hennepin County District Court with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection to the Dec. 28 incident.
According to the criminal complaint, Minneapolis police officers were called to a Minneapolis home for a reported sexual assault.
There, police met with the victim who said he spent the night at his dance teacher's apartment and Bozeman had sexually assaulted him, charges state.
The victim went to the hospital for a sexual assault examination, where he described the rape, the complaint notes.
In an interview with police, Bozeman said he picked up the victim from the dance studio on Dec. 27 and the victim spent the night at his apartment, charges say. He confirmed he raped the victim.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says after sexually assaulting the victim, Bozeman called police to report what happened. And at the same time, the victim told his mom what happened and asked her to pick him up.
Bozeman made his first court appearance on Dec. 30 and is scheduled to be in court again on Jan. 28.
