Minneapolis triple shooting injures 3, including 4-year-old

Police are looking for a shooter who on Tuesday night opened fire on people sitting in a parked SUV in Minneapolis, leaving two men and a 4-year-old injured, the Star Tribune reports. The injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

The vehicle was in the 3600 block of Penn Avenue N., a police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington told the newspaper. She said the initial investigation suggests the shooter had approached the SUV at about 9:30 p.m. and an argument was sparked. Shots were fired and the shooter ran, Barrington told the Star Tribune.

A witness told the Star Tribune a bullet wound was visible near the child's ankle.

It was not immediately clear whether the victims knew the shooter, WCCO reported.
