Who knew more than a million people wanted to see a single tree in Greenfield, Minnesota?

The Wawra's fifth annual YouTube video – in which they sync thousands of flashing lights to snippets of hit tunes from the past year – wasn't even posted a week ago. And it already has more than 1.5 million views on YouTube. (You can watch it above.)

The family syncs the lights with popular songs from the year. So you'll hear Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," Pharrell's "Happy," the unofficial song of the year "Let It Go," and a whole lot more.

The 2014 edition features a 10-foot tree (which they squeezed into their home just west of the Twin Cities) decorated with more than 7,000 lights, and when on uses more than 25 amps of power.

FOX 9 spoke with the couple, Brittni and Jon Wawra, about their tradition of having a big tree, and whether they expected to get so many views in such a short amount of time.

"It has always been a Wawra family tradition to get Monster Real Trees to big to fit in the room. Thank you to my better half for helping me sequence the songs (again)!" it says in the YouTube video's description.

On their YouTube channel, they've uploaded the Christmas tree music-and-lights shows since 2010. Here's the one from 2013.
