Minnesota father, 32, dies in snowmobile crash in Colorado

A man from Minnesota has been killed in snowmobile crash in Colorado.

The Routt County Sheriff's Office identified the victim of the Wednesday crash as Nicholas Ojard, 32, of Knife River, Minnesota.

Ojard was snowmobiling with a group when his vehicle flipped on top of him near Steamboat Springs, in northern Colorado.

He had been driving up a steep hill when the snowmobile flipped, with members of his group administering CPR for 45 minutes until responders arrived.

Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to his obituary, Ojard leaves behind a fiancee and a son, with cars and snowmobiling listed as his passions.

He's a graduate of Two Harbors High School and worked as a plumber for Stack Bros.

His funeral will be held on Monday at Knife River Lutheran Church.
