A Minnesota National Guardsman has pleaded guilty to persuading a 14-year-old girl back home to send him a sexually explicit photo of herself while he was deployed to Afghanistan.

Andrew Schiller, 28, of Lakeville, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of production of child pornography. He was originally charged back in March.

According to the indictment, Schiller contacted the girl over Skype from September of 2013 to January 2014 and asked her to send him explicit photos, which she did.

Prosecutors allege Schiller used several social media sites to contact underage girls.

According to KSTP, prosecutors claim Schiller asked dozens of girls between 13-and-17 years-old to send him photos through online platforms like Facebook, Skype, Meet Me, MyLOL and KIK.

Prosecutors say he would send sexually-explicit images of himself to encourage them and even promised them money or alcohol in exchange for the photos and videos.

The Pioneer Press notes Schiller enlisted in the national guard in February 2007. He was deployed with the Litchfield-based 849th Mobility Augmentation Company to Afghanistan in August 2013.

According to KARE 11, Schiller's case is still being investigated by the Army Criminal Investigative Division and the FBI. Anyone with additional information about the case is still asked to call the FBI Minneapolis Field Office at 763-569-8000.

A sentencing hearing for Schiller has not yet been scheduled.
