A pair of Minnesota hotels have landed on a prestigious list that tracks the best accommodations by region, including the Midwest.

Conde Nast Traveler magazine asked its readers to come up with the ten best hotels in the region. The Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis came in second in the reader's poll. Last year, readers rated it as eighth on the list.

The magazine also compiled a list of the Top Five Resorts in the Midwest. The Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minn. was fifth on that Conde Nast list.

The magazine said that 80,000 readers took part in the survey, reviewing accommodations by region and rating hotels, resorts, airlines and cruise lines in all parts of the world. The magazine has surveyed its readers for their favorites for 25 years.
