Minnesota man charged with criminal sexual conduct with 13-year-old runaway from Alabama
A 19-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly traveled to Alabama and brought a 13-year-old girl back to Minnesota for sex.
Brady Thomas Christiansen, of St. Cloud, has been charged with 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with the runaway teen.
According to a criminal complaint, Christiansen and the Alabama girl were found at the Asteria Inn, in Waite Park, on Mar. 17.
Police went to the hotel after receiving word from the Lee County Sheriff's Office in Alabama that the girl was likely with Christiansen.
Christiansen told Waite Park police officers that she was his girlfriend and that he had been in contact with her for weeks before picking her up around midnight Mar. 16 at her home in Alabama, before driving back to Minnesota with her.

Christiansen claimed they didn't have intercourse, but admitted the girl touched his genitals and he made contact with her breasts.
The girl however told police that they had intercourse twice, once on their trip from Alabama to Minnesota, and again in the Waite Park hotel.
A week later, on Mar. 24, Christiansen admitted to the intercourse, and that he knew of her age.
The maximum sentence for third-degree criminal sexual conduct is 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
