Minnesota man dies in fall from Colorado canyon
Details are limited at this point but a Minnesota man died in a fall while climbing in a canyon in Colorado.
The unidentified Minnesotan, age 22, was climbing in the Poudre Canyon on Saturday when he fell around 7:55 p.m., according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies from the Larimer County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene on Hwy. 14 near mile marker 103, where they found the man. He was with two other members of a climbing party. CPR and lifesaving efforts proved unsuccessful.
The man's identity is expected to be released by the Larimer County Coroner.
Poudre Canyon is located north/northwest of Fort Collins, north-central Colorado, and runs approximately 40 miles along Hwy. 14.
