A man who was cutting down trees became pinned under a tree for more than 100 hours before being rescued earlier this week. 

The Redwood County Sheriff's Office said it received a 911 call just before 4 p.m. on Monday stating a tree had fallen on a person. 

When deputies arrived, they learned Jonathan Ceplecha, 59, was cutting down trees on Thursday, Aug. 27, when one fell on him, pinning both his legs under the tree. 

It took two hours for for the Redwood Falls Fire Department to extricate Ceplecha, who was then airlifted to the hospital. 

His condition was not released.
