The U.S. Marshal Service says a Battle Lake man was wanted for threats against the U.S. Courthouse and the police department in Fargo. At his weekend arrest he tried to flee authorities but was subdued with a Taser.

The suspect in a shooting at a Grand Marais courthouse has died, according to Cook County jail officials. Authorities tell KSTP that 42-year-old Daniel Schlienz had been ill and under intense supervision. He allegedly shot two people, including the prosecutor, at a courthouse after he was found guilty of criminal sexual misconduct.

Fargo man accused of throwing Quran through window into crib

Fargo police say a 40-year-old Fargo man is accused of throwing the holy book of Islam through an apartment window, and the book and glass shards landed in the crib of a sleeping 6-month-old baby, the Fargo Forum reports. Dominique Jason Flanigan is charged with felony reckless endangerment as well as misdemeanor simple assault. He's also accused of punching the baby’s father.

3 teens caught driving 145 mph in Fargo, could face criminal charges

Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind told the Fargo Forum three cars were clocked traveling well above the speed limit on Interstate 29 in Fargo late Thursday night before leading a trooper on a pursuit. The trooper ended the chase because of the unsafe speeds, but was still able to identify all three vehicles. The cars were later found and the drivers - ages 15, 16 and 17 - were identified. The teens could face charges of fleeing, reckless driving and reckless endangerment.

Duluth man arrested for allegedly threatening Charter Communications building

Authorities say a man upset with his Internet service called Charter Communications and threatened to blow up or set fire to the company's Duluth office. Police evacuated the building and closed some streets after a suspicious vehicle was reported. The man was arrested and will likely be charged with making terroristic threats.
