Minnesota meat company recalls nearly 90,000 pounds of beef
A Sauk Rapids meat company is recalling nearly 90,000 pounds of beef products that may be contaminated with wood.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety Inspection Service announced that Huisken Meat Company is recalling The Sam's Choice Black Angus Vidalia Onion items produced between Nov. 19 and Dec. 9, 2015.

The USDA notes the recall involves 2-pound boxes containing six pieces of "Sam's Choice Black Angus Beef Patties with 19 percent Vidalia Onion" with use by dates of May 17, May 29 and June 6, 2016.
According to the Associated Press, the items were shipped nationwide.
There haven't been any reports of illnesses, but anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
The USDA says consumers who have purchased the products are urged not to eat them. The products should be thrown away or returned to where they were purchased.
