A search is on for a Minnesota-born medical worker who hasn't been heard from since last weekend.

Ashley Lynn Zachman left work at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, on Friday, May 29, and hasn't been seen since, a release from the local police department says:

The 36-year-old's parents told police "this is out-of-character for Zachman" and that "she has never shown a pattern of running away or disappearing."

Police found Ashley's phone at her home but her car was gone and remains so, according to KEYT-TV

The station says Zachman is a nurse who works in a cardiac lab at Cottage Hospital.

She's described as 5′5″ and about 115 pounds with brown hair, though some photos of her show her as blond.

Her car is a white 2008 Mazda 3 with the license plate number 6DRL358, according to a flyer (below) being circulated by the Missing Persons Cases Network.

Zachman was born in St. Paul, the flyer says.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Santa Barbara police at (805) 897-2300.
