Minnesota State Patrol investigating if man was thrown, jumped or fell from vehicle on Interstate 394 in Twin Cities

The Minnesota State Patrol is asking for the public's help.

More information has been released about a pedestrian found lying in the middle of the westbound lanes of Interstate 394 on Monday morning. 

The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. near Louisiana Avenue with the Minnesota State Patrol describing it as a vehicle-pedestrian incident. The injured man was transported to a local hospital for treatment and two lanes of traffic were shut down for a short period of time, causing earlier than normal traffic delays. 

The state patrol is now asking for the public's help to locate the vehicle that was involved, saying they're investigating to find out whether the man fell, jumped or was thrown from the vehicle.

What type of vehicle was involved was not provided by authorities. 

Anyone who might've witnessed the incident or simply has information that might help authorities is asked to call 651-582-1511. 

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His identity has not been released.
