A Minnesota woman who was the subject of a week-long search was arrested in Ohio Friday night, KSTP reports.

Amy Winterfeldt, 44, of New London, Minnesota, was being sought after she failed to take her 4-year-old son to his father in Appleton, Wisconsin, last Saturday. Winterfeldt violated a court order requiring her to do so, and the boy, 4-year old Alex Gomm, also known as Johan Winterfeldt, was reported missing to the Appleton Police Department.

Appleton police issued a warrant for the woman's arrest, and Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, officials asked for the public's help in locating Winterfeldt. Authorities believed she had Alex and two other adopted children with her, and that they were heading out of state.

Winterfeldt had reportedly become "increasingly paranoid" about returning the child to his father, according to a statement by the sheriff’s office earlier this week.

Winterfeldt was arrested in Ohio Friday after she was pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol for a vehicle equipment violation, WCCO reports.

She had three children in the car with her, who authorities say were unharmed. The children's identities were not immediately released.

Officials say Winterfeldt had two firearms with her in the car, and she faces charges in Ohio for being a fugitive in possession of a firearm.
