A Minnesota woman is dead after being involved in a motorcycle crash in Wisconsin.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office says it responded to a motorcycle crash just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

It happened on Hwy. 35 south of 1240th Street near the town of Oak Grove, which is just east of the Mississippi River, not far from Hastings, Minnesota.

The person riding the motorcycle died at the scene and has been identified as Kelly Jo Imsande, 48, of Ramsey, Minnesota.

An investigation into the crash revealed that Imsande was traveling north on Hwy. 35 when she lost control, crossed into the southbound lane and hit a guardrail.

She was thrown from the 2016 Harley Davidson FLHR Road King.

The crash is still being investigated by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
