21-year-old Minnesotan killed in double fatal Iowa crash

It happened on a snow-covered highway on Sunday afternoon.

A 21-year-old Minnesota man was one of two people killed in a crash in central Iowa on Sunday. 

According to the Grundy County Sheriff's Office, 21-year-old Justin Kime, of Stewartville, was driving a 2002 Saturn northbound on Hwy. 14 about eight miles northwest of Conrad, Iowa, when he lost control on the snow-covered road and crossed the center line into the path of a semi. 

Kime and a passenger in the car, 21-year-old Tristan Marlow, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, were transported to area hospitals but neither survived their injuries. 

According to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier, Kime was a senior management information systems student at the University of Northern Iowa while Marlow was a senior religion major at the college.
