Minnesotans involved in motorcycle crash in Wisconsin, one dies

A Minnesotan has died and another is seriously injured in a crash involving two motorcycles in Wisconsin.

The crash happened on State Rd. 64 in New Haven Township, northwest of Menomonie, at around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Dunn County deputies learned that a group of bikers were east on State Rd. 64 and had planned to head south on County Road Q.

But as they approached the county road, a male rider struck the back of another bike, driven by a woman.

Both of them were thrown from their bikes, and neither of them were wearing helmets.

The woman was taken to the Mayo Clinic-Menomonie with serious injuries, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving attempts.

The only information we have about both victims at this stage that they're from Minnesota, with more expected to be released once family has been informed.

The incident is under investigation by the Dunn County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
