Minnesotans say they will #NeverForget lives lost on Sept.11

Americans showed solidarity through the hashtag #NeverForget on social media and honored survivors and victims at events Sunday, which marked the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

At the Twins game against the Cleveland Indians, those at Target Field took a moment of silence to honor the people who lost their lives in the attacks:

The University of Minnesota honored 9/11 victims and survivors at a tribute event on Friday. Alpha News reported on the event here.  At the Gopher's game on Saturday, they honored more victims as well as survivors:

Students at Bethel University raised money and organized a "9-11: Never Forget Project" – a campus memorial of American flags commemorating each American who lost their lives.

Tribute Events

The annual 9/11 Tribute Concert at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis kicks off at 5 p.m. The concert features "patriotic music to help the greater Minnesota community remember the tragedy as well as honor those who serve to protect our country and communities every day." If you're near Rochester, there are two separate commemoration events with speakers planned for Sunday evening. One is at the Holy Anargyroi - a Greek Orthodox Church – at 5 p.m. The other is at the Calvary Evangelical Church at 6 p.m.
