The 6-year-old boy who sparked a major search effort after he went missing Tuesday afternoon has been found safe.
The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office issued an update in the early hours of Wednesday morning, saying Ethan Haus was found safe at around 1:50 a.m.
He had last been seen getting off the school bus with his siblings at Highway 25 and County Road 16, near Palmer, and went missing after running off to play with the family dog.

More than 600 volunteers showed up to assist with the late-night search, along with multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
After he was found, Ethan was checked out by paramedics after spending several hours in chilly conditions. He was taken to hospital as a precaution, but police say he doesn't appear to have suffered any injuries.
