Police told the family of Anarae Schunk that she is dead, according to the Pioneer Press.

Facebook page maintained by the family of the missing University of Minnesota 20-year-old, updated the story on Saturday announcing that "police had confirmed the worst, Anarae is no longer with us."

KARE 11 reports that police recovered additional evidence on Friday night that has led them to believe that Schunk was the victim of a homicide. Minnesota Public Radio reports, that Burnsville police in a statement said they will not reveal what that evidence is. Authorities continue to search for her remains.

Schunk was last seen at Nina's Grill in Burnsville with Shavelle Oscar Chavez-Nelson on Sept. 22. On Thursday, Nelson was charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 23-year-old Palagor Obang Jobi, of Savage. The shooting took place at closing time during the early morning hours on Sunday.

Authorities say that Nelson was angry that Jobi was talking to his girlfriend, 24-year-old Ashley M. Conrade. Conrade has also been arrested and charged with aiding an offender.

Police say that Schunk went to Conrade's townhouse following the shooting in Burnsville, but neither Conrade or Nelson are saying where she went after that.
