A Minnesota man reported missing last weekend has been found dead in a reservoir in Utah.

The body of Benjamin Magalis, 24, of Goodhue, was pulled from Strawberry Reservoir in Wasatch County, on Saturday evening.

Authorities had launched a search for Magalis and a 26-year-old local woman, Chenoa Plank, after her father reported them missing on Thursday.

The pair, who both work at a local ski resort, left to go camping near the reservoir last Sunday, but had been expected to return home on Tuesday.

Their vehicle was found by rescue teams but their canoe was missing, and the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office believes Magalis may have drowned while canoeing near Chicken Creek West.

The search for Plank continues. Her dog, Hazel, was found and rescued by search teams.

"We are deeply saddened for the Magalis family and everyone involved," the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office said.
