The Minneapolis Police Department
" target="_blank">recovered thousands of stolen items from hundreds of victims across the Twin Cities, and now police are trying to connect the property with its owners.
Investigators recently executed a search warrant, which led to the discovery of the stolen property, police announced Monday.
Items included boxes of Jordan sneakers, a cow skull,
" target="_blank">smartphones and computers, among other items, reports note.
The majority of the thefts appeared to be from the Hyatt parking garage on Nicollet Avenue, KARE 11 says. Most of the items were taken in the past few years, but some of the stolen property dates back to 2006, the news station says.
The parking ramp is connected to a hotel, so police believe some of the victims could be from out of town, KSTP says.
Police recovered the stolen items after searching the home of a man suspected to stealing wedding gifts at the Hyatt this summer, KARE 11 notes.
The stolen items are being held at the Minneapolis Police Department's Property and Evidence Warehouse, located at 6024 Harriet Ave. S., FOX 9 reports. Anyone who feels they may be a victim are asked to call 612-673-5148.
