The weekend brought some bittersweet tidings to the family of Ralph Latrez Bell, who had been the subject of a months-long missing persons search.
Hours after the discovery of a body in Roseville on Friday, Bell's fiancee delivered the couple's third child, a son who will be named after him, according to the family's Facebook posts.
Sadly, the body is believed to be that of the missing 24-year-old, with his fiancee, Kaila Holmes, commenting, "we found him, but not what happened to him."
"I love you so much and wish you were here to see your first son be born," Holmes wrote in a Facebook post announcing the birth.
As the Star Tribune points out, "numerous family members identified the body" as being Bell, but authorities have not officially confirmed anything yet.
Bell left his residence following an argument on the night of December 20, and his car was later found abandoned and idling on the 800 block of Cope Avenue West in Roseville — not far from where the body was found on Friday.
The deceased was discovered in a wooded area by a resident looking for shed deer antlers.
