A teenage girl who went missing last week has returned home to her family in Fergus Falls.

According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office, 16-year-old Jerika Neubauer contacted her family early Thursday morning and was located by police and brought home safely.

She was located in Underwood, Minnesota, which is approximately 10 miles east of Fergus Falls.

Neubauer was reported missing after running away from home on June 19, and authorities say their investigation into where the teenager has been the past nine days is ongoing.

The original missing persons report from the sheriff's office noted that Neubauer may have been in contact with unknown individuals whom she had met on the Internet.
