Missing Wisconsin teen found safe

A teenage boy who has gone missing in Wisconsin could be in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says that Michael Atkins, 17 went missing at 4 p.m. on Thursday from Marshfield, Wisconsin.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and black pants the last time he was seen, and was driving a gray 2006 Pontiac Vibe, Wisconsin plate 339 XRJ.

His vehicle was last seen in Wilson, Wisconsin around 11:20 a.m. on Friday near I-94.  Wilson is about 30 miles east of Hudson.

Though his direction of travel is not known, authorities say he may have headed to Hudson or crossed the river into Minnesota.

He did not take his cellphone or his wallet.

Atkins is described as 5'8" tall and weighing 121 lbs.
