Sheriff’s officials in Montana are searching for a missing University of Montana student from Mahtomedi, Minnesota, KSTP reports.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office says August Kramer, 21, did not return home from a weekend fishing trip.

A sheriff's office spokeswoman, Paige Pavalone, tells Missoula TV station KPAX that Kramer was supposed to Skype chat with his girlfriend Sunday, but missed the appointment. She also noted that Kramer's parents called the sheriff's office asking for help, since their son regularly checks in with them.

University of Montana's Vice President for Integrated Communications Peggy Kuhr tells the Missoulian that university officials reached out to Kramer's parents Monday, while Missoulia police talked with Kramer's roommate. Professors said Kramer was not at any of his classes Monday.

“People on campus are terribly concerned, as you can imagine,” Kuhr told the Missoulian.

According to a post on the Missoula County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Kramer's last debit card transaction was at the McDonald's in Lolo, Montana, on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

A Missing Endangered Person's report on the Facebook page says Kramer is 6 feet 2 inches tall, and was driving a dark Toyota Land Cruiser, which was pictured in the alert (above).
