Moorhead construction sign hacked, briefly flashes ominous message

There's nothing like a little conspiracy theory to get your morning commute going.

At around 6:30 a.m. Friday on a stretch of Highway 75 in southern Moorhead, an electronic road sign – normally used to alert drivers to construction zones – flashed the words "BUSH DID 9/11," according to the Forum.

The publication says the ominous message was changed after the apparent hacking was discovered.

MnDOT officials say they don't know who the culprit is, KFGO reports.

The station notes that the sign, owned by a St. Cloud subcontractor, was being used as part of a lane expansion project.
