Moorhead taxi driver found dead in vehicle with 'suspicious trauma'
A cab driver was discovered dead in his taxi Wednesday morning in Moorhead, and police are searching for leads.
According to the Moorhead Police Department, officers went to the 3000 block of 20th Street South on a report of a single-vehicle crash. There, they discovered a taxi that had driven over the roadway, crossed the railroad tracks, and came to a rest near the backyard of a residential home.
Inside the vehicle was a male taxi driver, still in the driver's seat and with what police described as "suspicious trauma to his body."
Officers did not find any other victims at the scene. The driver has not been identified by police.
