Brainerd police have released more details about the attempted abduction of a girl in an alleyway on Friday.

Two girls, aged 12 and 13, were walking in an alley in the 500 block of 1st and 2nd Avenues in northeast Brainerd when a man grabbed one of them.

He dropped the girl when her friend intervened, and the girls were able to make it safely to a nearby house to call police.

On Wednesday, Brainerd police released a more detailed description of the suspect, saying he's a white man in his 20s, of slender build, medium height, with light brown hair and no facial hair.

They also say he was driving an older model, dull red 4-door sedan prior to approaching the girls.

Police are now looking to hear of anyone matching that description who has been seen in the area of Evergreen Cemetery.

Those with information can call 218-829-2805.
