More human body parts found in Minneapolis

The body parts have now been found in three locations.

More body parts relating to the death of Adam Johnson have been found in Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department said police responded to the area of West River Parkway and Franklin Avenue, in the Seward neighborhood of south Minneapolis, at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday on a report of human remains being found.

Police located the remains and identified them as being related to the Johnson case.

Last Thursday, body parts were found in two areas of northeast Minneapolis and on Friday identified the remains as belonging to 36-year-old Johnson.

Police have described his death as a targeted attack, not random, and said Johnson had not been reported missing prior to the grim discovery.

His death is being investigated as a homicide, and the police department said late last week they were still looking for additional body parts.

Police said Tuesday "dozens of tips" have come in and "detectives are making progress in this investigation," but did not say more.

Anyone with information on the case can contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips may be submitted electronically at www.CrimeStoppersMN.org.
