Motorcyclist dies after he hit deer, was struck by trailer and semi-truck
A 53-year-old Princeton man was killed when he hit a deer and then was hit by a trailer and a semi-truck in Mille Lacs County.
Lonnie James Mayo was driving eastbound on Highway 95 near 107th Avenue when he hit a deer, slid and overturned around 2:42 a.m. Tuesday, the Minnesota State Patrol's report says.
The crash threw Mayo into the westbound lane, where a GMC Sierra pulling a trailer swerved to "avoid an object in the road" and the trailer hit Mayo, the report said.
Then, a semi-truck traveling down westbound 95 hit Mayo.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 54-year-old man from Ogilvie, and the GMC driver, a 74-year-old from North Branch, were not injured.
