A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash with a suspected impaired driver in St. Paul on Sunday evening.

According to St. Paul police, the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Hazelwood Street. Officers and medics arrived to the scene and found a 2004 Ford Taurus with significant damage to the rear passenger side and a 21-year-old motorcyclist with extensive injuries.
