Motorcyclist hit in chest by stray bullet from target shooters

A motorcyclist is in a hospital after being struck by a stray bullet while passing a property southwest of the Twin Cities on Tuesday.

The incident was reported on Homestead Road in Carver, Carver County, where the biker was shot while riding southbound on County Road 40.

Further investigation led police to believe that the motorcyclist was struck by a bullet from a group of people who were target shooting at a property on Homestead Road.

The people involved were shooting towards County Road 40 at the time.

The biker was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he is reportedly in a stable condition.

It's not known at this stage whether any charges are going to be filed, with the Carver County Sheriff's Office continuing to investigate.
