A motorcyclist died after a collision with another vehicle at a highly trafficked St. Paul intersection Wednesday morning.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, crashed with the other vehicle around 11 a.m., at the intersection of Ford Parkway and Cleveland Avenue, the St. Paul Police Department said. When officers arrived, they found the man "gravely injured" and attempted first aid.
He was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not publicly identified the man.
According to the department, the driver of the other vehicle was not impaired. They're still investigating the cause of the crash, however, and investigators are identifying witnesses.
The intersection in the Highland Park neighborhood is surrounded by numerous retail stores and restaurants, including a Target, Panera Bread, Half-Price Books, Patina and more, and is just east of the planned development at the former Ford site.
