A traffic stop in Eden Prairie led to a 120mph chase on south metro highways Tuesday morning.

Eden Prairie Police Department told Bring Me The News the drama started at 5:49 a.m., when officers tried to pull over a motorcyclist on West 78th Street and Hwy. 212 for driving erratically.

The biker refused to stop, with officers then beginning a pursuit along Hwy. 212, with the bike reaching speeds of "at least" 120mph.

It continued onto eastbound Interstate 494 in the south metro, with traffic cameras capturing the chase as the rider went past the I-35W interchange.

The chase ended in Minneapolis, near Cedar Avenue and Nokomis Parkway, when the motorcyclist eventually stopped.

Nobody was injured in the incident, which is pretty lucky given the speeds involved.

The rider is a 31-year-old man from Woodbury, who has been arrested for fleeing a police officer.
