Numerous crashes have led to a couple of big road closures in the Twin Cities on Sunday evening.

According to MnDOT, Interstate 35W northbound is closed in Bloomington at 90th St. due to a serious injury crash.

"Northbound traffic will be closed for an extended period of time," the State Patrol said around 5:30 p.m.

A fatal crash has shut down Hwy. 55 (Hwy. 149) in Mendota Heights between Lone Oak Parkway and Northwest Parkway, according to MnDOT. The State Patrol says northbound traffic will be closed for an extended period of time.

No further information about either crash has been released, but as you can see in the map below, they are two of numerous crashes and spinouts around the metro.
