Hockey players are some of the most dediated athletes. They'll do whatever it takes to help their team win – such as playing without a blade in their skate, like Wild's defenseman Jared Spurgeon attempted to do on Saturday.

Play eventually stopped and Spurgeon was able to get to the bench and replace the skate.

The 26-year-old is one Minnesota's longest tenured defenseman having played in 378 games in his seven-year career entering play on Saturday.

So if you thought hockey was hard enough, imagine trying to play without a skate...
