Navarre Corporation in New Hope sent layoff notices to nearly 150 employees Friday. The e-commerce services provider is moving its operations out of state at the end of the summer.
Last month, the Business Journal reported that Minnesota competed to keep Navarre here, but lost the bid to Ohio.
A unit of Navarre, SpeedFC, has operated in the Columbus region since 2006 and became a division of Navarre in November.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority extended an eight-year, 50 percent tax credit to SpeedFC in return for the company's pledge to create 250 jobs with an annual payroll of $6 million.
Navarre plans to build a $5.3 million facility, expanding its operations by 500,000 square feet.
The last day for the company's Minnesota employees is June 10, KSTP reports.
