Near-perfect summer weather expected on Independence Day
Beautiful, gorgeous and pleasant are words meteorologists are using to describe the Fourth of July forecast in Minnesota.
If you're heading to the lake or planning a cook-out, make sure to grab the sunscreen because most of the state will see sunny skies and warm temperatures.
KSTP describes the outlook as "very pleasant with highs in the 80s." Humidity should also be comfortable, but will creep upwards towards the weekend, leading to a chance of thunderstorms Saturday night.
WCCO says we may start feeling some of that mugginess beginning Thursday evening.
"A beautiful Fourth of July holiday is in store for us," KARE 11 said. The television station says temperatures will likely linger in the upper 70s Thursday night with clear skies for Fireworks.
The Star Tribune's Paul Douglas says we deserve it. "Some of the best weather America has to offer will be floating above our heads in the coming days," Douglas says. "After the year we've had I guess we've EARNED a memorable 4th."
It's the same story in the northern part of the state. WDIO says summer weather will be felt across the Northland.
In southeast Minnesota, the pattern continues. However, a couple isolated thunderstorms could crop up, according to KTTC.
