Two Twin Cities bakers are planning to open a new venture called The Buttered Tin in downtown St. Paul's Lowertown on Monday.

Jen Lueck and Alicia Hinze are hoping a new breakfast and lunch spot will be just what a growing number of condo/apartment dwellers are looking for, Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine notes.

Alicia Hinze, formerly of Cupcake in Minneapolis, has been featured on the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars" – she and Cupcake owner won a bake-off on the show last year.

The two bakery founders raked in $10,000 from 142 backers as part of an online fundraising effort on Kickstarter.
