Nicollet man killed in motorcycle crash Saturday morning
A 31-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle crashed in Nicollet this weekend.
Around 7:18 a.m. on Saturday morning, the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a motorcycle in the ditch on Highway 99 in Nicollet, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Authorities say Joel Miller, 31, of Nicollet was found near a 2000 Harley Davidson and pronounced dead at the scene.
Miller was driving west on Highway 99 when he "hit the brakes, went off the roadway in a curve and hit a sign," according to the State Patrol.
The State Patrol said that alcohol was detected in Miller's system, and he wasn't wearing a helmet.
They are still investigating the incident.
