No COVID-19 data for Minnesota on Christmas Day

There won't be any on New Year's Day either.
Author:

Minnesota Department of Health will take a break from updating its COVID-19 figures on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

The department has confirmed that much like Thanksgiving Day, it will not provide a daily update on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

That means that a larger-than-usual set of numbers will be reported in the days following.

The data from Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, will now be reported on Saturday, Dec. 26.

And on Sunday, Dec. 27, data from both Christmas Day and Dec. 26 will be reported.

The same will happen in the days after New Year's, with data for Jan. 1 and 2 reported on Sunday, Jan. 3.

MDH says that the data will be broken out so people can see the number of cases and deaths reported on each individual day.

You can find the MDH situation update page here.
