The body of a man reported missing more than five months ago was found dead in a creek on Friday.

According to the Duluth News Tribune, a woman out for a walk with her dog found a shoe in a creek in Virginia, Minnesota, which led police to the discovery of 49-year-old David Roger Pagel's body.

Pagel was reported missing 10 days after he was last seen at his home on Dec. 9. He left his dog and medications behind and because he didn't own a vehicle, police believed he was likely on foot.

Foul play is not suspected.
