Minnesota and Wisconsin officials say a dangerous man, who was recently released from prison, may be headed to the Twin Cities after committing several crimes in Wisconsin in the last few days, according to reports.

Eric "Buck" Hall, 38, was released from prison on June 10 and investigators believe he could be headed to either Vilas County, Wisconsin, or St. Paul Park, Minnesota, where he's believed to have contacts, WCCO reports.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office says Hall has stolen several vehicles and committed a number of burglaries since he was released. They also believe he is in possession of at least two firearms, KARE 11 notes.

Wisconsin officials have named him a person of interest in a few recent crimes in Chippewa County. The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office says investigators believe Hall used a bat or ax to break the glass door of a grocery store and restaurant in River Falls, Wisconsin, last Friday, FOX 9 reports. Investigators believe Hall then stole an SUV.

Officials used a photo taken of the stolen SUV at a gas station in Cadott, Wisconsin, to identify Hall as a person of interest.

When officials tried to stop the driver of the SUV, he led police on a high-speed chase near Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the Chippewa Herald reports. The driver, who the sheriff's department has identified as Hall, crashed the vehicle and ran off into the woods, reports say.

The sheriff's office believes Hall switched vehicles multiple times over the weekend – most recently on Sunday when a man stole a Chevrolet Silverado, with Wisconsin license plate: JE7-691, KSTP reports. The vehicle belonged to a volunteer firefighter and is equipped with a siren and flashing lights, reports say.

Authorities said Hall is likely taking whatever actions are necessary to avoid being arrested, WSAW reports. People are urged not to approach Hall and call local law enforcement right away.
