Authorities in Bemidji Township found 85 marijuana plants – and two children – in a house they raided this week, the Bemidji Pioneer reports.

Officials seized the plants and about 1 pound of processed marijuana, and they took the children into protective custody, the newspaper reports.

William Taylor Tanner, 29, and Nicole Louise Deeter, 42, were booked into the Beltrami County Jail on charges of felony fifth-degree drug possession and felony neglect or endangerment of a child, the newspaper reports.

The two are expected in court Thursday for arraignment on the charges.
