Two escape injury as sailboat tips on lake in Northeastern Minnesota
Two people were rescued after a sailboat tipped on Grand Lake in St. Louis County on Wednesday.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says it was called to the lake, near Twig, at around 5 p.m.
The two people in the boat were struggling to get it upright after the wind had picked up and tipped it. The Grand Lake Volunteer Fire Department, St. Louis County Sheriff's Rescue Squad and Mayo Ambulance also responded.
The pair were eventually able to get the boat upright and got back in. Both were wearing life jackets. The fire department and sheriff's rescue squad helped tow the boat back to shore.
The two were uninjured but evaluated by the ambulance.
