A former bar in downtown Hibbing, northern Minnesota, has been destroyed in an overnight fire.

The blaze broke out at the former Coachmen Lounge bar at 27th Street and 1st Avenue around 9:10 p.m.

The Northland Fire Wire reports that Hibbing firefighters arrived to find flames coming out of the back of the building.

The fire then spread, with the building expected to be a total loss.

The bar has been closed for a number of years, the Fire Wire notes. The blaze is now under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
