The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport had strong on-time arrival and departure numbers for the month of September, according to the latest Air Travel Consumer Report.

The report, released on Wednesday, by the U.S. Department of Transportation says 90 percent of its arriving flights and 90.5 percent of its departing ones were on time in September.

Skywest, Delta, Endeavor, and Alaska airlines all posted arrival times of 90 percent or better in the report. Skywest had the most on-time arrivals at 92.9 percent. Delta was second at 92.8.

MSP's lowest on time performance numbers belonged to American Eagle, at 69.2 percent on-time; Southwest, at 78 percent and Frontier, at 79.6 percent.

The Pioneer Press reports that morning flights performed better than other times of the day at MSP. Every hour, between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. more than 92.5 percent of the flights arrived on time.

The worst hour for arrivals was between 10-11 p.m. when only 73.2 percent of the flights arrived on time. The worst-performing hour for on-time departures was between 6-7 p.m., when 74 percent of the flights left on-time.

Delta, which has a hub at MSP, was on time 90.3 percent of the time nationwide. Only Hawaiian Airlines was better at 95.5 percent.
