Authorities at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities are reporting two robberies on Saturday afternoon.

According to a campus safety alert, an attempted robbery occurred at 3:25 p.m. at 15th Ave SE, followed by a robbery about 11 minutes later at Mariucci Arena (also known as the 3M Arena at Mariucci), just blocks away.

The notification has few details, and identifies "2 Teen Males in a Dark SUV" as possible suspects.

It's not clear if authorities think the two incidents are connected.

December has been an active month for robberies and attempted robberies at the U of M, with at least seven being reported this month.

Those include a Sunday, Dec. 8 incident in which three masked men attempted an armed robbery near Harvard Street and Delaware.
