One dead after shooting on Green Line train in St. Paul

Police are 'actively searching' for the suspect.

A person has died after being shot on board a Green Line light rail train in St. Paul Friday evening.

Metro Transit PD says that the shooting was reported around 8:30 p.m. on a westbound Green Line train as it approached Hamline Avenue Station.

When officers arrived at the station, they found the victim – a male – suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he then died. No other injuries have been reported, and police are "actively searching" for a suspect.

The shooting is being investigated by Metro Transit PD, with help from St. Paul PD and the Minnesota BCA.
